Janet was awarded an Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) in 2007to do a Masters Degree in Learning Sciences & Technology at the University of Sydney. She is also a graduate from UPNG with a Bachelor of Education and Honours degrees. Her research interests are in the area of quality assurance instructional designing for Open & Distance Learning, Learning sciences and technology, Gender issues and Building sustainable futures for Papua New Guinean women through Open & Distance Higher Education.
Janet is currently the Acting Associate Director Programs & Production and Senior Instructional Designer at the UPNG Open College.
